With support from the Global Health Workforce Alliance, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the World Health Organization, the AAAH organized a workshop to help member countries integrate health system strengthening (HSS) actions into the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria (GFATM) Round 7 Applications. The Workshop was held between 8-10 May 2007 in Bangkok, Thailand by the IHPP-Thailand. The main objective of the workshop was to clarify the GFATM Round 7 guidelines and application forms and process, including lessons drawn from the past round applications. It also aims to build up capacity to country applicants on the integration of HSS and HRH components into disease specific application to the GFATM and to build up capacity of technical advisors to provide supports to countries (either directly or through internal peer review processes) in their efforts to draft a successful proposal.
